Unveiling My Days in the Middle of Depression

Through this essay, I want to bring you through situations that might happen when life feels defeated. Here I want to share with you how I manage my life while experiencing depression.

Journaling

First of all, let’s have a look at what happens when someone is depressed. Mostly someone who is depressed does not know what is really going on with their mind. It will happen day-to-day even years. The most important thing to deal with depression is that we have to know what is the depression all about and this happens in our mind.

To track your mind, we need to get to know all the stuff inside our mind. In my case, I always did journaling in the morning and at night, about an hour before bed. Be consistent. Just write down what your mind is saying. Over the days, I was really surprised by the awareness I got.

Get in Touch with Friends

People who are depressed will be bad at managing life because of their mind. Their mind has control over their life unconsciously. They have no power. Let alone to get engaged with friends. Just text your friends. Tell them what is really going on with your life. Tell them that you feel depressed. Tell them that you are in help. In case your friends is far away, you can make video call through social media platforms. Just tell them.

Find the Triggers

Depression and anxiety come to our life with tonnes of reasons through thousands of doors. While journaling, reread stories you have written. Find the pattern of your life. Find the most problematic and traumatic events you experienced. And find the answer and possible solution.

Life Slowly

On this point, I will cite a common quote from japan.

“Slow is the fastest way”

The more you slow down your pace, the more you can control your life. This is the beginning to end the depression. To take over your life, you cannot just grab it and take off. No. You can’t. You have to dig deeper into your feelings and mindset. Getting to know to your feelings and mind is a must if you want to end depression you have been experiencing. Slow down your pace a bit, take a breath every 10 minutes consciously. Put into your mind that your life will be in a slow mode for a while. And remember that.
